2052 Sapporo, Japan Olympic Bid | Brand Identity
This project aimed to design a bid for a future Olympics location and focus on what I, as the designer, believed graphic design would look like in 2052. Through my various iterations of sketches and research into Sapporo, Japan, I decided to fashion my mark after the landmark at the top of Mt. Moiwa. After trial and error, I chose to bring this logo to life by utilizing interacting gradients in a winter color scheme. To counteract the boldness of the mark, I used a thin typeface (Gravesend Sans) with tracking to balance the logo visually.
